Injured Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings has claimed that he is happy with the team's decision to sign Reggie Jackson from Oklahoma City Thunder last season.
Jennings is battling back from a serious knee injury, and the Pistons moved to strengthen their side with the signing of Jackson, who averaged 17.6 points per game in his first 27 appearances for Detroit last season.
Jennings is quoted as saying by Centre Daily Times: "Bringing in Reggie Jackson was smart. I'm supposed to be out, really, for nine months, and they need a point guard. My main thing is just to get healthy.
"Hey, if I have to come off the bench and be the sixth man or whatever, I'm fine with that. Man, I just want to play basketball again. I just want to get back on the court and have fun."
Jennings hopes to return for the Pistons by the beginning of the new season.
