Greg Monroe has said that he is in "great shape" ahead of the start of the 2013-14 NBA season.
The Detroit Pistons forward averaged a career-high 16 points per game last season.
The 23-year-old told the team's official website: "I'm in great shape. I went to a new guy who was great for me. I got a chef, changed my eating. I just wanted to get in the best shape I could. I wanted to make sure my body was in great condition. I think I did a good job of that and the people I work with did a great job of getting me on the right path.
"With the changes, my game is going to have to change a little bit. I don't think I'll have a problem with it, but I have to make some small adjustments and make sure I'm as mobile as possible, make sure I can feel comfortable scoring in different ways from a little farther off the post.
"I've been working on a lot of different things. I've been working on a lot of different things, especially dribbling. With me playing farther out on the court, that doesn't mean I'll be shooting from out there every time. It's being more comfortable making moves, also, farther away from the basket."
Monroe has featured in 227 NBA games since being drafted by the Pistons in 2010.
