The Indiana Pacers were beaten on the road for just the 10th time this season, losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Kevin Love got the Wolves off to a good start as they led by 13 at the break, with the forward finishing the game with 42.

Paul George tried to keep the Pacers in contention, scoring 35 points, but Ricky Rubio and JJ Barea helped put the win beyond doubt for the hosts.

A strong finish ensured that the San Antonio Spurs edged out the Portland Trail Blazers.

Patty Mills scored 29 off the bench, including a three-pointer inside the final two minutes which clinched the game.

The Houston Rockets thrashed the Los Angeles Lakers on Dwight Howard's return to his former team.

The Charlotte Bobcats beat the Detroit Pistons for the second time this week, increasing their hold on the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Golden State Warriors dominated the fourth quarter of their game against the Sacramento Kings to secure the win.

The Kings fought back from nine points down at the break to lead heading into the final 12 minutes, but David Lee ensured that the visitors regained the advantage.

The Chicago Bulls held on for a narrow win over the Toronto Raptors, leaving them on a four-game winning streak.

Carmelo Anthony led the New York Knicks to their first win in four outings as they beat the New Orleans Pelicans.

The forward scored 42, including a series a late shots which ensured that the visitors came away with the victory.

The Phoenix Suns spread the workload in their win over the Boston Celtics at the US Airways Center.

Having won in overtime the night before, the fatigued Suns shared the shooting duties, with six players reaching double figures.

A strong second-half performance saw the Brooklyn Nets to victory over the Utah Jazz.

The Nets were trailing by eight points at half time, but Deron Williams inspired their comeback, scoring 19 despite being caught in the face by Alec Burks's elbow with just over three minutes left to play.

The Washington Wizards cruised to a win over the Atlanta Hawks, beating their Eastern Conference rivals for the first time in six years.

John Wall and Paul Millsap both scored 21 as the Wizards broke a three-game losing streak, moving them up to fifth in their conference.
