Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Wednesday night's games in the NBA.

The Miami Heat needed a last-second effort from LeBron James to give them a single-point victory over the Golden State Warriors.

The reigning MVP had been in strong form throughout the game for the defending champions, but needed a three-pointer in the final second to seal the win.

The Indiana Pacers lost at home for just the third time this season when they welcomed the Dallas Mavericks to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Monta Ellis led the way with 23 points for the visitors, leaving Dallas with six wins from their last seven games.

Despite missing a number of their starters through injury, the San Antonio Spurs proved too strong for the Boston Celtics.

The Spurs dominated the final quarter to make sure that they had a big enough lead to take the win, while Tim Duncan scored 23 of his 25 points after the break.

The Memphis Grizzlies survived a late comeback from the Orlando Magic to clinch a narrow win.

The Magic led by 13 points at one stage in the second half before Nikola Vucevic and Tobias Harris led the Magic back into contention, but it was not enough.

Blake Griffin and Chris Paul were in dominant form as the Los Angeles Clippers took a win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Griffin led the team with 36, while Paul, who returned from a shoulder injury at the weekend, added 20 to help the Clippers pull away in the fourth quarter.

A last-gasp effort from James Harden allowed the Houston Rockets to hold on for victory over the Washington Wizards.

The Rockets led early on, while John Wall had a strong third quarter to bring the visitors back into contention, but Harden was able to find the game-winning shot with a second to spare.

The Brooklyn Nets had five players in double points as they eased past the Charlotte Bobcats.

Paul Pierce added 25 for the hosts, while Deron Williams and Andray Blatche were among those to also make contributions to guide the Nets to victory.

The Sacramento Kings were able to force their way past the New York Knicks in overtime to take a narrow win.

Rudy Gay found the target late on to send the game to overtime, before making the three-pointer that led the visitors to victory in overtime.

The Minnesota Timberwolves thrashed the Denver Nuggets in their final game before the All-Star break.

Kevin Love, who will take part in this weekend's game, scored 32 points to lead the Wolves to a 27-point victory.

A late shot from Kyrie Irving secured the Cleveland Cavaliers' win over the Detroit Pistons to leave the team on a four-game winning streak.

With less than 30 seconds remaining, Irving made a three-pointer to put the game beyond the Pistons, and give Cleveland their longest unbeaten run since March 2010.

The Toronto Raptors cruised to a comfortable win over the Atlanta Hawks to keep them four games clear at the top of the Atlantic Division.

DeMar DeRozan picked up 31 as the Raptors eased ahead in the second half to secure their first home win over the Hawks in six attempts.

The Utah Jazz continued their recent strong form with victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, giving them their third win in a row.

The game had been close throughout, but Alec Burks added 10 in the final two minutes to lift the Jazz past the visitors.

The New Orleans Pelicans came out strong in the second half to take a win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Eric Gordon and Alexis Ajinca helped the Pelicans open up a lead in the third quarter, while a couple of late turnovers by the hosts made sure that New Orleans came away with the win.
