Josh Smith has said that he did not get the shot that he wanted while trying to add a game-winning basket against the New York Knicks.
The forward was the Detroit Pistons' leading scorer in the 89-85 defeat, but missed a jump shot while the team were trailing 86-85 with just under 10 seconds left to play.
The 28-year-old told reporters: "I didn't get the shot I wanted. I'm still beating myself up for that.
"I could've been a little more aggressive and try to put the initiative on the referees to make a call.
"It was a shot that is definitely going to be with me until the next game so I can get it out of my head."
Smith has averaged 15.2 points per game this season.
