The Golden State Warriors have confirmed that Harrison Barnes is being evaluated after spraining his ankle earlier this week.
The forward was forced out of the 135-116 win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday, and missed the victory over the Sacramento Kings last night as a result of the injury.
Interim head coach Luke Walton told reporters: "He's being evaluated. We haven't gotten the results back yet. It's all speculation. It could be a few weeks. It could be a week.
"We're not going to rush him back because we want to be healthy for later in the season and we don't want lingering injuries, so we'll have him take his time."
Barnes has averaged 13.8 points per game for the reigning NBA champions so far this season.
