Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has been voted the most popular NBA player in the USA ahead of LeBron James in a small-scale poll.
Public Policy Polling surveyed 1,471 registered voters between May 7 and May 10, with Curry finishing top with 19% of the votes.
James came second with 18%, while Los Angeles Lakers veteran Kobe Bryant completed the top three with 14% of the votes.
Curry was also named the league's MVP this year, averaging 23.8 points, 7.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game in the regular season.
In the same voting process, the Warriors were also the USA's choice to win this year's NBA championship.
