The Golden State Warriors continued their winning streak by holding off a strong finish from the Dallas Mavericks to make it 15 straight victories in the NBA.

The visitors looked the stronger of the two sides from the start as they opened up a 21-point lead by the end of the first quarter, led by Stephen Curry.

Dirk Nowitzki tried to give the hosts some late hope, leading a charge against the Warriors' reserves, but the Mavericks came up seven points short.

Dwight Howard returned from an 11-game absence with a knee injury to lead the Houston Rockets to a win over the Denver Nuggets.

The center finished the game with 26 points and 13 rebounds, ensuring that the Rockets overcame an early 10-point deficit to move to 18-5 this season.

The Indiana Pacers' struggles continued as they slipped to an eighth straight defeat in their game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard combined for 37 for the visitors as they pulled away before the break, leaving the Pacers with too much to do in the second half.

Tobias Harris score a late three-pointer for the Orlando Magic to end the Atlanta Hawks' nine-game unbeaten run.

Mike Conley netted a late three-pointer to force the extra spell, and finished the game with a career-high 36 to lead the Grizzlies to the win.

Having broken their 13-game losing streak on Friday, the Detroit Pistons picked up their second victory in a row with a narrow win over the Sacramento Kings.

The visitors made a strong start to the second half to open up a lead that they never let slip, as Greg Monroe and Josh Smith contributed 45 points between them.
