Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Wednesday's games in the NBA ahead of the All-Star break.

The Golden State Warriors will go into the All-Star break with the best record in the league after picking up their 42nd win of the season in a narrow victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Western Conference leaders leaned on their reserves as the home side fought back in the second half, but Andre Iguodala and Leandro Barbosa kept the Warriors ahead after Stephen Curry established a first-half advantage.

The Atlanta Hawks were stunned by a last-gasp shot from Evan Turner, handing the Eastern Conference leaders a one-point defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics.

The home side trailed for the majority of the game, but Jared Sullinger got Boston back into contention in the fourth, before Turner's shot found the basket with 0.2 seconds remaining.

The San Antonio Spurs cruised to a comfortable win over the Detroit Pistons to leave the current champions with wins from their last three away games.

The Spurs split the scoring duties, with Danny Green and Tony Parker combining for 36, while the Pistons struggled early on, scoring just 12 points in the first quarter to leave the home side with too much to do.

LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a win over him former side as the Miami Heat were beaten at the Quicken Loans Arena.

The four-time MVP made 18 points against his old side, while six of his teammates also reached double figures to lead Cleveland to their 14th win in their last 15 games.

The Los Angeles Clippers needed a strong finish to secure a win over the Houston Rockets at the Staples Center.

DeAndre Jordan led the charge for the hosts, finishing with 24 points and 20 rebounds as the Clippers outscored their opponents by 14 in the fourth quarter.

DeMar DeRozan made a late jump shot to lift the Toronto Raptors to a narrow win over the Washington Wizards.

The sides were close throughout and appeared to be heading for overtime with the scores level 12 seconds from time, but DeRozan added his only points of the fourth quarter late on to edge Toronto ahead.

The Dallas Mavericks came out on top in a closely-fought contest with the Utah Jazz to move the side to a 36-19 record.

JJ Barea helped Dallas establish an early lead before Trey Burke got the Jazz back into the game by half time, but Barea continued his run in the second half to secure the win for the hosts.

The Oklahoma City Thunder put in a dominant first-half performance to set up a win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook led the home side to an 18-point advantage by the break, while the Grizzlies struggled to find their shooting rhythm.

The Indiana Pacers made it four wins in five outings as they wrapped up a routine win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

David West and George Hill led the scoring with 17 each, while Rodney Stuckey added 16 to put the Pacers 33 ahead before the Pelicans, who were without the injured Anthony Davis for a second game, closed the gap late on.

The Los Angeles Lakers slipped to their 11th straight defeat away from home as they were well beaten by the Portland Trail Blazers.

The home side always looked the stronger of the two as they were eight points up by the end of the first before LaMarcus Aldridge extended the advantage to 23 midway through the third.

The Milwaukee Bucks were in dominant form either side of half time to set up a win over the Sacramento Kings.

Brandon Knight added 10 of his 20 points in a third-quarter surge to leave Milwaukee in control, despite a late push from Sacramento.

The Orlando Magic made it two wins from four games since firing coach Jacque Vaughn as they proved too strong for the New York Knicks.

The Knicks held a narrow lead at the break, but Nikola Vucevic finished the game with 28 to give Orlando the victory after surging ahead in the third.
