Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Friday's games in the NBA.

The Atlanta Hawks replaced the Golden State Warriors as the team with the best record in the NBA as they won the clash between the two conference leaders.

The sides were tied at half time, but the Eastern Conference leaders used their depth to pull ahead, with Jeff Teague leading seven Atlanta players in double figures.

The San Antonio Spurs came out on top in the first meeting with the Miami Heat since last season's NBA Finals.

Kawhi Leonard led the scoring for the current league champions, adding 24 to ensure that the Heat never recovered from San Antonio's quick start.

The Indiana Pacers ended the Cleveland Cavaliers' 12-game winning streak after coming from behind in the second half at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Kyrie Irving tried to set up a 13th straight victory for Cleveland, but the Australian fouled George Hill late on after CJ Miles had made the scores close, allowing Hill to edge the Pacers ahead with a free throw.

The Los Angeles Clippers fell to a third defeat in a row as they let a first-half lead slip in their defeat to the Toronto Raptors.

The Clippers were 15 points up at the end of the first quarter, but DeMar DeRozan led the comeback, scoring 24 points to put Toronto ahead in the second half.

James Harden led the Houston Rockets to a win over the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring 33 points at the Toyota Center.

Twelve of Harden's points came from the free point line as the Rockets led for much of the game, while holding off a late comeback from the Bucks, led by Giannis Antetokoumpo.

A last-gasp shot from Anthony Davis gave the New Orleans Pelicans a narrow win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Russell Westbrook scored 48 to keep the sides level heading towards the final buzzer, but Davis made a three-pointer in the final second to lift the Pelicans to the win.

The Brooklyn Nets beat local rivals the New York Knicks for the third time this season thanks to a strong fourth-quarter performance.

Brook Lopez led the scoring with 22 for the hosts, but it was a late three-pointer from Jarrett Jack that made sure of the victory for the Nets.

The Orlando Magic ended their 10-game losing streak one day after firing their coach as they beat the Los Angeles Lakers in overtime.

Tobias Harris scored a career-high 34 to get Orlando back on level terms late on to force overtime, in which Nikola Vucevic led the way to inflict a second straight overtime loss on the Lakers.

Marcus Morris scored a career-high 34 to lead the Phoenix Suns to victory over the Utah Jazz.

Morris ensured that the Suns pulled away before half time, scoring 24 before the break, snapping Phoenix's three-game losing streak.

The Detroit Pistons eased to a win over the Denver Nuggets for their 20th victory of the season.

The home side were ahead by 22 during the third quarter as Greg Monroe scored 21 points and made a career-high 21 rebounds before the Nuggets pulled some consolation points back in the fourth.

The Boston Celtics held off a second-half comeback from the Philadelphia 76ers to secure their third win in a row.

The Sixers were 21 points down midway through the third quarter before Hollis Thompson cut the gap to three, but Jared Sullinger led a late push by the Celtics to see out the win.

The Minnesota Timberwolves needed a late run of points to secure a narrow win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Ricky Rubio scored eight points inside the final two minutes after shaking off an ankle injury, overturning a seven-point deficit for the Wolves.
