The Phoenix Suns finished strongly to come from behind and beat the San Antonio Spurs by five points.

Having trailed by six at the start of the fourth quarter, Isaiah Thomas led the fightback, scoring 18 of is 23 points after the break, with 10 coming in the final spell.

The NBA champions were unable to rally late on, with only two Manu Ginobili free throws increasing their total in the final five minutes.

Rudy Gay finished the evening with 40 points as the Sacramento Kings eased to a victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The small forward was one short of his career high as he led the Kings on a 13-point unanswered run in the fourth quarter, wrapping up their first win of the campaign.

The Memphis Grizzlies made it back-to-back wins at the start of the new season with a comfortable win over the Indiana Pacers.

Marc Gasol helped open up a lead for the visitors heading into half time, but it was Zach Randolph who put the win beyond doubt, scoring 11 of his 22 points in the third quarter to leave the Pacers too far behind.

The Milwaukee Bucks dominated the fourth quarter to ease past the Philadelphia 76ers, leaving the Sixers without a win from their first two games.

Only a single point separated the two teams heading into the final 12 minutes, but OJ Mayo led the Bucks on a dominant run at the start of the fourth quarter to secure the win.
