NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal has urged his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant to consider his future before calling time on his career.
The 37-year-old has hinted that the 2015-16 season will be his last in the NBA, ending his 20-year stay in the league.
O'Neal has told Bryant that, if he thinks he is physically able to play, he should continue as long as his body will allow him.
"If you still got something, you should go because once it's done you can't get it back," O'Neal told the New Orleans Times Picayune.
"If I hadn't got hurt I would have went on and played my last season to try and break Wilt Chamberlain's scoring record."
Bryant was given clearance to return to the court last week following his recovery from shoulder surgery.
