Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen has admitted that it's hard not to look at the other teams around his as they hope to push for a playoff place this season.
Memphis improved their chances of reaching the playoffs this campaign with a 111-89 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats at the FedExForum on Saturday night.
"I can't help but look at the standings. [Our coach] probably wants us to stop talking about [the playoff race] and take it one game at a time, which we're trying to do," Allen told reporters.
"But you can't help but go online and see what Phoenix next three games are; see what the Golden State Warriors' next three games are. It's common.
"But what we gotta do is take care of what we can control, and that's playing hard, playing together and hanging our hats on the defensive end."
The victory sees the Grizzlies sitting in fourth position in the Southwest Division with a record 36-26 for the season.
