Chris Bosh has admitted that he is excited by what Gerald Green can bring to the Miami Heat ahead of the new season.
Green has led the Heat in scoring in their seven pre-season games and registered 28 points off the bench during a 110-105 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.
Miami became the 29-year-old's ninth NBA team when he joined on a veteran's minimum in the summer, and Bosh is certain that his new teammate will relish his role in the second unit.
"Coach is allowing Gerald to be who he is, 'Mr Instant Offense'. He is playing incredible offense right now The part I like about it most is he is bringing that energy and toughness on the defensive end as well. With the talent that we have, we have to continue to give that effort. I'm happy that he is playing that well," Bosh told reporters.
"I want him to keep that enthusiasm when things get tough."
Miami start the new season against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
