Chris Bosh helps to lead the Miami Heat past the Orlando Magic, while Kevin Durant scores 48 points to give the Oklahoma City Thunder a slender win against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Miami Heat returned to winning ways on Saturday night as they overcame the Orlando Magic 110-94 at the Amway Center.

Coming on the back of a home defeat last time out, the Heat were led by an outstanding performance from Chris Bosh, who completed all nine of his attempted field goals on his way to notching 20 points.

Bosh was backed up by Dwyane Wade (20) and Rashard Lewis (18), although it was a night to forget for LeBron James, who suffered his second-worst shooting night of the season by completing 38.5% of his shots to collect 15 points.

Further east, the Brooklyn Nets moved a game ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers by completing an 89-82 victory over the travelling side.

Brooklyn's fourth consecutive win was in no doubt due to match-winning performances from Deron Williams - who scored 21 points and six assists - and Paul Pierce, who collected 17 points and five assists.

Dion Waiters led the Cavs with 26 points, although his showing wasn't enough to stop the hosts, who played three excellent quarters of attacking basketball to close in on victory.

The Chicago Bulls rallied to a 91-84 victory over the Atlanta Hawks at the United Center, thanks to standout contributions from Mike Dunleavy, who came off the bench to score 20 points, and Luol Deng, who added 17 points on the night.

Elsewhere, an Eric Bledsoe-less Phoenix Suns moved to 20-1 against the Milwaukee Bucks at home, thanks to a 116-110 win at the US Airways Center on Saturday.

Gerald Green, coming in to cover for Bledsoe, scored a season-high 24 points for his side, while Channing Frye added 22 points, seven boards and two blocks to ensure victory for Phoenix.

Thaddeus Young managed to tie his season-high score of 30 points as the Philadelphia 76ers completed a dramatic 101-99 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center.

Evan Turner was also on the scoreboard for the 76ers as he added 23 points, with Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge offering resistance in the way of 29 points and 14 rebounds for the hosts.

Down in Texas, the Los Angeles Clippers again suffered without key man Chris Paul as they fell to a 116-92 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs.

LA gave up 70 first-half points in the defeat, as Tiago Splitter scored a season-high 22 points and Tim Duncan added 19 points and 11 rebounds to move the Spurs to 26-8 for the campaign.

Kevin Durant scored a whopping season-high 48 points for the Oklahoma City Thunder as they avoided their third straight defeat this season by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-111 at the Target Center.

Elsewhere, the Charlotte Bobcats had third-year guard Kemba Walker to thank as they overcame the Sacramento Kings 113-103, while the Indiana Pacers completed a comfortable 99-82 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
