Terry Stotts insisted that he was proud of his Portland Trail Blazers squad despite the defeat to the Miami Heat on Monday night.
The Blazers head coach elected to remain upbeat following the 93-91 loss to the defending champions, who clinched victory when Chris Bosh blocked Damian Lillard's layup with just seconds remaining in the game.
"We're tired of losing close games, but you can't help it to be proud of the way we competed," Stotts told reporters.
"It would have been easy to fold things up, but that's not in our DNA."
Portland have the opportunity to get back on track against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night.
