JJ Barea has admitted that he would be happy to return to the Dallas Mavericks at some stage during his career.
The 29-year-old won the NBA title with the Mavericks in 2011, and reports earlier this summer suggested that he may return to his former side from the Minnesota Timberwolves due to his close relationship with Dallas owner Mark Cuban.
"It's a great relationship with Mark Cuban. If they want to bring me back to Dallas, I am very [good] with it," Barea told ESPN.
However, the point guard insists that he is looking forward to beginning his second season with the Timberwolves.
"I'm happy in Minnesota. They're the ones that wanted me there, the ones that signed me for four years, so until they decide to trade me, I'm going to give them all my effort in the games," he added.
Minnesota begin their league season against the Orlando Magic on October 30.
