Tyson Chandler has insisted that the New York Knicks can claim third spot in the Eastern Conference this season.
Despite his side having only the ninth best record of the teams in the Eastern Conference, Chandler believes that the Knicks can find the form that will see them challenge with the clubs above them.
"Obviously, we didn't come in expecting to put ourselves in this situation," the 31-year-old told reporters. "I feel like it's still wide open.
"I looked at the standings today and I feel like we've got a real opportunity to kind of shoot up to that third spot or so and try to get ourselves in the mix."
The Knicks face the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night.
