Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Friday evening's games in the NBA.

Anthony Davis posted his career-best figures to lead the New Orleans Pelicans to an 11-point win over the Los Angeles Lakers last night.

As well as frustrating Pau Gasol with his defensive play, the 2012 top Draft pick finished the game with 32 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks.

The teams had been close throughout, but 11 points in the last 12 minutes from Davis allowed the Pelicans to pull away, inflicting the fourth defeat of the season on the Lakers.

The New York Knicks ended their three-game losing streak with a 101-91 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Carmelo Anthony led the team with 28 points and eight rebounds with support from Andrea Bargnani, who scored 25.

The Indiana Pacers matched their best start to an NBA season by recording their sixth win of the campaign to remain unbeaten, clinching a 91-84 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Paul George was restricted by coverage from Rudy Gay in the first half, but scored 17 of his 23 points in the third quarter.

The Chicago Bulls eased to a win against the Utah Jazz, thrashing their opponents 97-73.

In-form Luol Deng led the charge for the hosts, scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and five steals, leaving the Jazz without a win this season.

The San Antonio Spurs held on for a win over the Golden State Warriors, despite a strong finish by the visitors.

The hosts had an 11-point advantage with just over 10 minutes left to play before David Lee and Klay Thompson got the Warriors back into contention, but Andre Iguodala could not convert a nine-foot effort in the final second of the game to tie the scores.

The Washington Wizards needed overtime to clinch their first home win of the season against the Brooklyn Nets.

Nene scored the tying basket at the end of regulation time for the Wizards, before the hosts outscored their opponents by four points in the extra period thanks to efforts from Bradley Beaa, John Wall and Marcin Gortat.

A strong second-half performance ensured that the Minnesota Timberwolves claimed a win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Kevin Love and Kevin Martin both added 32 points to help the home side end their two-game losing streak, with Love also having 15 rebounds and eight assists.

Twins Markieff and Marcus Morris led the Phoenix Suns to a 114-103 win over the Denver Nuggets.

The home side had edged ahead by half time, but a 40-point third quarter put the Nuggets in a strong position to take their first away win of the season.

However, Markieff Morris added 14 of his career-high 28 points in the last quarter, while his brother sealed 11 points and five rebounds, allowing the Suns to regain their advantage late on.

Kevin Durant led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a nine-point win against the Detroit Pistons, adding 37 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

The home side had a narrow lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Thunder dominated the second 12-minute spell to gain control of the game, before maintaining their advantage until the end of the meeting.

The Philadelphia 76ers secured a comfortable victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are yet to win away from home this season.

Evan Turner and Tony Wroten added 40 points between them, while former 76er Andrew Bynum, who joined the Cavaliers during the off-season, was held to four points and five rebounds in an 18-minute stint.

The Boston Celtics made it back-to-back wins with a narrow victory over the Orlando Magic, who had been unbeaten at home.

The team spread the workload in a game that was close throughout, with power forward Brandon Bass finishing the encounter with 16 points, seven rebounds and an assist.

The Sacramento Kings slipped to their fourth defeat of the season, losing 104-91 to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge combined for 42 points for the home side, but the visitors will have a chance for immediate redemption, as they play each other again tonight.

Result in full: New York Knicks 101-91 Charlotte Bobcats, Toronto Raptors 84-91 Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics 91-88 Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers 79-94 Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets 108-112 Washington Wizards, Oklahoma City Thunder 119-110 Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz 73-97 Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks 108-116 Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers 85-96 New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors 74-76 San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggers 103-114 Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings 91-104 Portland Trail Blazers.
