New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson has revealed that Amar'e Stoudemire underwent a minor procedure on his knee during the summer.
Stoudemire's recent history with the Knicks has been dominated by knee issues, letting him play only 29 times last season.
However, Woodson has revealed that he is hopeful the 30-year-old will be fit enough to last a full season.
"He's rehabbing back nicely," Woodson told reporters. "We're not going to rush him.
"The bottom line is to try to get [Stoudemire] through a full season where he's ready to go in the playoffs."
The Knicks begin their season against the Chicago Bulls on October 31.
