Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook will make his comeback from injury on Friday night against the New York Knicks.
The three-time All Star sustained a broken hand in only the second game of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers and has not played since.
However, after being re-evaluated this week, Westbrook returned to practice and took contact on the court, with coach Scott Brooks confirming that he is now clear to return to action, ESPN reports.
It is understood that he will return to the starting lineup as Reggie Jackson will resume his back-up role, but Kevin Durant remains sidelined as he continues to recover from a stress fracture in his foot.
The Thunder won just four of their first 16 games without their star duo, with Durant still expected to be out until the early part of December.
