Michael Carter-Williams has revealed that his recovery from shoulder surgery is progressing ahead of schedule.
The NBA's rookie of the season underwent a procedure at the end of his first campaign in the league.
Speaking at the NBA summer league in Orlando, the point guard said: "It's been tough. Of course I wish I could be out there playing and doing what I love, but I know it's a process and it's best for me to chill out a little bit and get healthy.
"I definitely can't scrimmage. I can't do full contact. As far as other drills, I'm not sure. I have to check with the trainers and doctors."
Carter-Williams averaged 16.7 points per game during the 2013-14 season.
