Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has been ruled out of action for at least another two games as he continues to suffer from a viral infection.
Cousins was admitted to hospital on Wednesday night after missing the last three games with the illness, and the Kings have confirmed that he will not be in uniform against either Indiana Pacers or Orlando Magic.
The 24-year-old underwent additional evaluation on Tuesday evening and is improving daily, but he is not expected to make a full recovery and re-join the team until next week.
Cousins is averaging career highs of 23.5 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game after impressing at the FIBA World Cup this past summer.
However, the Kings have lost their last four games, three of those with Cousins sidelined, after an impressive 9-5 start to the season.
