The Brooklyn Nets have completed a trade with the Sacramento Kings to bring Marcus Thornton to the team.
The Atlantic Division side exchanged Jason Terry and Reggie Evans to acquire the guard.
The 26-year-old said on Twitter: "Thanks to the Sacramento organisation and most of all the fans for showing me love since my first day in Sacramento, really appreciate it."
Thornton is averaging 8.3 points per game this season.
