Vlade Divac has been named the general manager of the Sacramento Kings.
The 47-year-old enjoyed a successful 16-year career in the NBA playing for the Kings, the Charlotte Hornets and the Los Angeles Lakers before he retired in 2005.
Following his retirement Divac spent time as a scout, but was then hired as head of operations at Real Madrid basketball club before leaving the position.
The Serb was hired by the Kings as their vice-president of basketball and franchise operations in March, but has now been promoted to be general manager of the club.
Divac won two silver medals at the Olympics in 1988 and 1996 while representing Yugoslavia.
