Great Britain's wheelchair basketball co-captain Abdi Jama believes that his side deserve credit for fighting back in their opening defeat to Germany in the Paralympic Games yesterday.
The home nation managed to come back from an 18-point deficit to force through overtime but failed to take their chances and succumbed to a 77-72 defeat.
"It was a tough game, but we fought hard and we showed a big spirit," the Liverpool Echo quotes Jama as saying.
"It was the bulldog spirit. We drove and drove and drove. We had the last shot of the game and on another day that goes in."
Meanwhile, the women's wheelchair team are in action today as they prepare to take on Australia this afternoon.
