Great Britain's men have recorded their first basketball victory by thumping Colombia 81-41 tonight.

Britain were behind a couple of times early on, but from 6-7 down they went on a scoring streak, going 19-7 up with three minutes of the first quarter to play. The period ended 25-13 to the host nation.

The second quarter was even more one-sided, GB taking it 21-8 for a 46-21 half-time lead.

Colombia were never able to string more than two or three scores together as GB were able to take their time and pick off their opponents.

Indeed, Colombia managed just 20 points in the second half with GB wrapping up a resounding 81-41 win, their first of the tournament.
