Former Great Britain women's basketball coach Tom Maher has agreed to take charge of China's national team.
The Australian's contract with Team GB expired after last summer's Olympic Games.
Maher had suggested that he was keen to stay on, but British Basketball were not immediately able to offer him a new deal, as their funding situation was uncertain.
British Basketball eventually won their appeal against a funding cut, but Maher's team in Australia, the Bulleen Boomers, have now confirmed that he is to leave for China.
"Maher will leave in the next few weeks to take up the full time position for the next four years in China," said a statement on the team's website.
Team GB failed to win a game at the Olympics, but it was widely accepted that Maher had raised their level considerably since taking the job in 2009.
