Utah Jazz point guard Trey Burke has suffered a broken finger with just over two weeks left until the start of the new NBA season.
The 20-year-old sustained the injury in the pre-season loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday and his team have yet to announce how long he will have to stay on the sidelines.
"It's really hard to explain where it's at because pretty much my whole finger is hurting," Burke told the Desert News.
The NCAA All-American is expected to see a specialist on Monday to find out more about the injury.
Burke was selected as the ninth pick in this year's Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, who then traded him to the Jazz.
