England boxer Sam Maxwell has revealed his delight after booking his spot in the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games.
Maxwell is now guaranteed at least a bronze in the light-welterweight category after beating defending champion Manoj Kumar in the last-eight stage.
"I am absolutely over the moon, I have been to a few quarter-finals before and just been pipped by bad decisions or close fights so this feels absolutely unreal. I cannot wait to get on the podium, I just want to change the colour of the medal now," Maxwell told Sports Mole.
The Englishman has vowed to enjoy this evening, but will "switch back on" tomorrow.
"Yeah I will [relax] today. I am going to let myself soak it all in then tomorrow switch back on and forget it all," he added.
Maxwell faces Scotland's Josh Taylor in the semi-finals on Friday.
