Sports Mole brings you live text commentary of the WBO welterweight title clash between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley.
Sports Mole

Good morning and welcome to Sports Mole's live text commentary of the WBO welterweight title fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley, taking place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The Filipino will feel that he has some questions to answer as he makes the fourth defence of his strap against the unbeaten American, who is stepping up from light-welterweight.

Pacquiao's last fight saw him overcome Juan Manuel Marquez, somewhat controversially, with an unconvincing split decision at the same venue last November.

Bradley, who was WBO and WBC light-welterweight champion, beat Joel Casamayor on the same bill to take his unblemished record to 28-0-0 with 12 knockouts.

Both men weighed in yesterday, with Pacquiao tipping the scales at 147lbs and Bradley coming in a pound lighter.

It will be fascinating to see how this one pans out, with unending talk of a mega-fight between 'Pac Man' and Floyd Mayweather Jnr still circulating the boxing world.

Round upThat concludes Sports Mole's coverage of this bout. Thanks for joining us, and we hope to see you again next time!

Round upWell... what can I say? I had Manny winning by a long way. In normal circumstances, I would be inclined to feel embarrassed having scored so heavily in Pac Man's favour... but these are hardly normal circumstances. Maybe I will feel differently if I give it another watch tomorrow. Who knows?

AftermathPacquiao: "I respect the decision of the officials."

Bradley: "I'm not satisfied. Let's do it again."

AftermathPacquiao: "I did my best, but my best wasn't good enough. I was sure I won the fight."

AftermathBradley: "This is boxing. We will give a rematch, and we can make it up."

AftermathBradley: "It was a good fight. I'll go home and review the tape to see if I won."

VerdictA shocking decision! Even Bradley was surprised at the decision! Pacquiao has been robbed and no-one can quite believe it!

DECISIONAND THE NEW WBO WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD... TIMOTHY BRADLEY!

DECISIONThe three ringside judges score the contest: 115-113 to Pacquiao... 115-113 to Bradley... and 115-113 to the winner...

End of Round 12DING! DING! DING! So we're going to the scorecards. The fighters embrace, and we wait for the inevitable. Pacquiao has surely won this...

Round 12The challenger looks resigned to losing. He is not going for it in the final round, when really he should be. Final 30 seconds...

Round 12Bradley has a puncher's chance, but it is looking unlikely.

Round 12Bradley's wife looking solemn... and she has every reason to.

End of Round 11Providing Bradley does not do what he has failed to all night - puncture Pac Man's defence and hurt him - and the WBO title will be staying where it is.

Round 11Unconfirmed: Bradley's corner saying that he broke his foot in the second round. May explain a bit...

Round 11An array of different scores on Twitter. I could make a case for Bradley winning two rounds... three at most

End of Round 10This fight is completely one-sided on the scorecards. Pacquiao has been the far superior technician, but nothing like the dynamic performances we have seen in the past. This is, however, a completely different fight.

Round 10Bradley is apparently complaining of a broken bone in his foot. Is this another David Haye scenario?

End of Round 9Pacquiao has done a brilliant job of subduing Bradley here. It has been far from explosive, but it has been an entertaining fight.

Round 9Another round for Pacquiao, that's all that can be said for this...

End of Round 8Could Pacquiao beat Mayweather? Despite winning this fight, I'm not so sure...

Round 8American announcers accusing Pacquiao of flattering the judges with late bursts to take the rounds. There is some degree of that, but he is definitely on top here.

Round 8Bradley using what Freddie Roach calls his "third fist" for the first time. That may be harsh, the headbutt was unintentional.

Round 7Both fighters now trading, with Bradley shading the mini-skirmish. However, Pacquiao is landing far more punches than his opponent. Another hard one to score, but for accuracy, I'll chalk another one up for the champ!

Round 7Pacquiao does look comfortable, but it is far from the pure boxing displayed by a certain Floyd Mayweather against Miguel Cotto last month.

End of Round 6I'll give that one to Bradley. That's not a pity round, by the way. He genuinely deserved to win that round! Pacquiao still clearly in front though...

Round 6Bradley's punches finding the target more now, but there seems to be very little power in them.

Round 6Pacquiao seems happy to let Bradley come onto him in this round. So far, the American has been unable to penetrate Pac Man's defence.

End of Round 5Another left hand from Pacquiao has Bradley moving. The round comes to an end, and one feels that it has to be another one for Manny.

Round 5You get the sense that Pacquiao still has another gear or two, while Bradley is blowing a little bit.

Round 5I'm scoring all four rounds to Pacquiao so far, although some Boxing writers on Twitter have given Bradley the first.

End of Round 4Pacquiao is really on top here and Bradley cannot seem to evade him. He is bobbing and weaving when under pressure but he cannot muster a counter attack.

Round 4It has been an interesting contest so far. Bradley will have to step it up if he is to do any damage here.

Round 4Bradley's head is a still target, for which Pacquiao needs no invitation.

End of Round 3Another late flurry from Pacquiao has him starting to open up a lead over Bradley. The fans are on their feet in the MGM Grand - they are loving this! Bradley still remains dangerous...

Round 3Pacquiao's left hand is finding its way through time and time again. Bradley cannot allow that to continue!

Round 3Bradley is throwing more punches, but it's Manny who is more accurate. The champion doesn't seem to be there when Bradley comes knocking.

End of Round 2Probably another one scored to Pacquiao for me, but again it is very close. Judges could be scoring this either way.

Round 2Bradley launches an attack, swinging wildly as he has Pac Man back-peddling for this first time in the fight. Pacquiao unmoved.

Round 2Pacquiao looking dangerous once more, but Bradley is unflinching. This is shaping up to be a terrific fight!

Round 1Both fighters are sussing each other out. Neither fighter letting their fists go, but both looking sharp. It's a hard one to score. Pacquiao came on strong towards the end and probably shaded it!

05.11DING! DING! DING!

05.08"LETS GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

05.06Now the champion, Manny Pacquiao. Coming in to Eye of the Tiger, the 33-year-old brings a 54-3-2 record. Both fighters are now in the ring. Michael Buffer is on the microphone... finally!

05.04The bright lights of Las Vegas certainly are dazzling. Bradley does not look fazed by the occasion, however.

05.00Here come the ring-walks! Firstly, the challenger Timothy Bradley. Fighting out of Palm Springs, California, he brings a 28-0-0 record to the contest, as well as plenty of intrigue!

04.57Bradley is doing some light pad work as the American national anthem is being belted out. It's strange really; the fight is in America but everyone is supporting the Filipino.

04.51Bradley's trainer: "It doesn't bother us. When he's ready, we're ready."

04.50Pacquiao is only just getting gloved-up now. He is making Bradley wait for this. This could stir up a debate on whether fighters should be made to abide by the start time.

04.45Pacquiao returning to his dressing room from his pre-fight calf stretch. We're not long now from fight time. The sound of Michael Buffer on the microphone is synonymous with the big fight atmosphere!

04.42I wonder if Floyd Mayweather is watching from jail?

04.41Bradley is pacing his dressing room, looking menacing. This will be a real test of Pac Man's abilities. He was pushed against Marquez and Bradley is younger and hungry.

04.35Bradley tells Max Kellerman of HBO that he is not concerned by Pacquiao making him wait. He is ready to rumble in Las Vegas!

04.34Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao could not be found in his dressing room as the TV cameras went in for a pre-fight interview. His trainer Freddie Roach has dispelled any worries that he has deserted by saying that he was on the treadmill stretching his calf muscles.

04.32That win for Bailey puts him in prime position for a bout against the winner between Kell Brook and Carson Jones, which takes place in Sheffield next month.

04.29Randall Bailey sensationally knocked out Mike Jones in the 11th round to win the vacant IBF welterweight title. He was well behind on points, but knocked Jones down in the 10th before a brutal uppercut ended matters a round later.

04.26Cuban sensation Guillermo Rigondeaux retained his WBA World Super bantamweight title with an explosive performance against Teon Kennedy.

04.24Well, it has been an interesting night at the MGM Grand thusfar. Let's bring you up to date with some fights from the undercard.
