Audley Harrison has admitted that his 82-second loss to David Price at the weekend could have been his last appearance in the boxing ring.

The British boxer's performance against Price has been heavily criticised by many pundits, with some suggesting that the time is right for him to end his career.

With that in mind, the 40-year-old has conceded that retirement is on his mind.

"I have said when I turn up to win, and lose to nothing other than ability, I will know my time is up, so this could be my last bout. I'll take some time to think this out, as I never want to come back to boxing once I've walked away," he said in statement.

"If it's to end here, what a ride it's been and I'm grateful to the universe for allowing me to find my destiny and walk the precarious road my way. Keep dreaming, keep believing and never give up."

The Harlesden-born fighter won a gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
