British Boxing Board of Control General Secretary Robert Smith expresses his disappointment and disgust at last night's skirmish between Dereck Chisora and David Haye.

The British Boxing Board of Control has said that it was extremely "disappointed and disgusted" with events between Dereck Chisora and David Haye in Munich last night.

The pair came to blows at a post-fight press conference after Chisora lost out in his bid to defeat heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko.

British Boxing Board of Control General Secretary Robert Smith said: "I am extremely disappointed and disgusted really.

"It does not do the sport any good or Britain any good. Unfortunately it was like Brits abroad and I am very disappointed.

"You wake up in the morning and someone's just fought for the world heavyweight title and we are talking about something else - that is really disappointing."

Smith also said that the implications of the ruckus could mean that if Haye, who retired last year after losing his WBA title to Vitali's younger brother Wladimir, wants to renew his boxing licence, he may face problems.

"We would have to go through the normal process and deal with any outstanding matters which have to be considered," Smith added.

"First of all we would have to listen to what David Haye has to say but he has not done himself any good and neither has Mr Chisora."

Both men are set to be interviewed by police in the Bavarian capital.
