Kell Brook will fight Devon Alexander for the IBF world welterweight title on February 23 in Detroit.
The bout had originally been scheduled for January 19 before Brook's promoter Eddie Hearn requested that the fight be delayed after his boxer suffered an ankle injury.
It had been rumoured that Brook would have to wait until March before competing in his first world title fight but he will now challenge Alexander in February at the Joe Louis Arena.
Brook earned a shot at Alexander's IBF belt after he stopped Hector Saldiva inside three rounds in October.
