Former world champion Hector Camacho has died after being taken off life support at a hospital in Puerto Rico.

Doctors announced on Tuesday night that the 50-year-old was 'clinically braindead' following a gun attack in Bayamon.

His mother has said that her son's life support machine was shut down against the family's wishes.
