British super-middleweight James DeGale is targeting a fight with either Carl Froch or George Groves next year.
The 2008 Olympic gold medalist is due to return to the ring in November but his opponent is yet to be confirmed.
The fight he really wants, though, is to face the winner of the Froch-Groves clash next month.
"I look at the Froch v Groves fight and I know that in the next six months it's likely that I'll fight the winner of that one," DeGale told reporters.
"It really is exciting times. I'm ready and willing to fight anyone and it's time to step up and face the best.
"When you look at the super-middleweight division, there are no easy fights. You'd have to say Andre Ward is number one and then you'd probably say it's Carl Froch. It's difficult to say who number three is, who number four is."
DeGale will defend his WBC Silver super-middleweight belt at Bluewater on November 16.
