Welsh boxer Dale Evans has pledged to win the British welterweight title as a tribute to Mike Towell.
Towell, 25, died in hospital after being injured in a fight with 24-year-old Evans in Glasgow on October 1.
"Nothing would make me happier than winning the British title and taking it up to Dundee and showing Mike's family and his friends," Evans told BBC Sport.
"Winning it would make me so proud, and I think it would make the family proud and Mike too.
"Everything now... is for Mike, his family, his little boy, his supporters. It would be fantastic to do it for them."
Evans, who attended Towell's funeral, is the mandatory challenger for the welterweight title, which is held by Bradley Skeete.
