Tyson Fury: 'I want to face Deontay Wilder at Old Trafford'

British heavyweight Tyson Fury reveals that he hopes to face unbeaten American Deontay Wilder at Old Trafford if either man can win a world title.

British heavyweight Tyson Fury has insisted that there is little point in him facing Deontay Wilder until either man has managed to win a world title.

A bout between the pair is one of the most anticipated showdowns in the heavyweight division, but while stating that he wouldn't face the unbeaten American without a belt involved, Fury has revealed that he is keen to face the knockout specialist at Old Trafford should one of them become world champion.

The 25-year-old told the Manchester Evening News: "I want to fight Deontay Wilder for the world title at Old Trafford. It's the home of the team I support – Manchester United – and the biggest venue in the city.

"It's a fight that would catch people's imagination. They would think that he could beat me and everyone would turn out. Of course, I don't think anyone can beat me – that's my mentality, my self-confidence.

"It could be a big fight in England or America, but it's not worth doing until there is a world title involved. One of us has to get a title and then maybe it can happen."

Fury faces Dereck Chisora in a world title eliminator on July 26, while Wilder is the mandatory challenger for Bermane Stiverne's WBC strap.
