Tyson Fury has claimed that Deontay Wilder is 'made for him' and that he will stop the WBC heavyweight champion should they ever meet in the ring.

After spending over two years out of the ring, former heavyweight champion Fury is nearing a return and is keen to face both Wilder and Anthony Joshua over the next 18 months.

Fury is expected to face lower-level opposition when he competes for the first time since November 2015, but the Mancunian has his sights set on fighting Wilder, who recorded a 10th-round stoppage win over Luis Ortiz in New York on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I saw Deontay Wilder the other night. He is made for me. Whatever happens in his career, whether he gets knocked out in his next fight, I want to fight him.

"We've got unfinished business and when we get in the ring, I will give him a good hiding. He's a good puncher, and he's got a puncher's chance all of the way through until the end of the fight, but I believe that I have got the best boxing skills in the division and I believe I will give him a boxing lesson before stopping him."

Fury recently lost his Ring Magazine title due to inactivity, but the British fighter is still recognised as the lineal champion in the division.
