WBC light-welterweight champion Danny Garcia has dismissed Lucas Matthysse as "just a regular fighter" ahead of their bout on Saturday evening.
Matthysse has stopped 32 of his 36 opponents, including a third-round victory over Lamont Peterson earlier this year, but Garcia believes that he will outwit the Argentinean.
The undefeated American told reporters: "To me, Matthysse is just a regular fighter and I don't consider him one of the best."
"He doesn't even have a world title. Let's see what happens when I back him up, working angles. I can fight backing up. Can he?
"Matthysse has power, but I have power too. I have fought a lot of guys with power. Trust me, I plan to take away his power, make him miss and make him pay."
The fight between Garcia and Matthysse is taking place on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather's encounter with Saul Alvarez.
