British welterweight Frankie Gavin will fight for the European title in August when he faces unbeaten Italian Leonard Bundu.
Gavin, who is undefeated in 19 fights, got off the canvas to defend his Commonwealth strap against Sacky Shikukutu in March, but the Midlands fighter faces a tough test at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on August 1.
Bundu is best known to British boxing fans for stopping Lee Purdy at the end of 2013, and after recording 32 successive victories in the paid ranks, he will undoubtedly provide Gavin with the sternest test of his career.
Both men are ranked highly with different governing bodies, and whoever emerges victorious in the West Midlands could secure an eliminator for one of the division's world titles.
