David Haye and Anthony Joshua reveal that they intend to set up an all-British heavyweight fight in 2016.

British boxers David Haye and Anthony Joshua have revealed that they intend to go toe to toe in the ring next year.

Haye is making his comeback after spending three-and-a-half years out of the sport, while Joshua is preparing for his 15th professional bout when he takes on Dillian Whyte at London's O2 Arena on Saturday night.

According to The Mirror, while speaking at the weigh-in for Joshua's bout against Whyte, Haye said: "Hopefully I get through my fight [against Mark di Mori] and he gets through his fights, then without a doubt our paths are going to pass very shortly - a world title, eliminator for a world title. If he keeps doing what he's doing, there's no doubt we'll fight at some stage."

Joshua added: "You heard it here first. That's what it's about. As with a fighter's mentality, you've both got work to do beforehand. But some time, down the line, our paths will cross - whatever it's for. You've got two great athletes. This is where you heard it first."

Both boxers are targeting Tyson Fury's world heavyweight titles.
