Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that he expects George Groves to follow the gameplan that he revealed at the pre-fight press conference ahead of his clash with IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion Carl Froch.
Groves has stated that he intends to fight aggressively against his domestic rival, and Hearn believes that the challenger will not look to surprise Froch with a different strategy on Saturday night.
Hearn told Sky Sports News: "I think that he is serious, I have always felt that George Groves will take the middle of the ring to try to push Carl Froch back.
"Some say that could be crazy, but the bottom line is to run and be on the back foot for 12 rounds from Carl Froch, he'll hunt you down and I think George Groves has got nothing to gain by fighting like that.
"I think that he believes that he can push Carl Froch back, he believes that he can beat him to the jab, he believes that he can hurt him with the right hand and when you believe it, you'll go out to try to do it. The great news for me and all the fans is, if George Groves chooses to fight like that, we're going to get an epic battle."
