Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Anthony Joshua's next opponent will be announced next week, with speculation suggesting that Wladimir Klitschko will be taking on the Brit.
The Ukrainian veteran had been gearing up for a rematch with WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, only for the 28-year-old to pull out for a second time due to medical reasons.
Asked when an announcement on Joshua's next opponent can be expected, boxing promoter Hearn told Sky Sports News: "Next week, for sure. We're getting close now.
"Things have changed, opportunities have arisen and when you're talking about fights of this size, you've got to get everything 100 per cent right.
"We're in a great position right now. Maybe my smile gives things away but, fingers crossed, next week you'll have some news that will blow your mind."
Joshua knocked out Dominic Breazeale at the O2 in June to retain his IBF heavyweight title, and his next bout could also be for the WBA and WBO belts should Fury be stripped of his titles.
