The IBF have ordered a rematch to go ahead between George Groves and IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion Carl Froch within the next 90 days.
Groves has maintained that his British rival has been reluctant to agree a rematch following November's clash, which ended in a controversial ninth-round stoppage in Froch's favour.
However, Froch released a statement this afternoon claiming that Groves has rejected an offer to go toe to toe in the ring at some point this year.
Despite all signs indicating that a rematch was unlikely to take place, Groves has written on Twitter: "Oh Dear! IBF order IMMEDIATE rematch with me and @Carl_Froch ... Maybe I was right after all turning down that 'amazing' 7 figure offer haha.
"Now everyone understands @Carl_Froch press release today.. Wants to move on? Hold on honey IBF says #NoNoNo #RematchOrVacate haha."
Froch has so far been trying to push for a bout against Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr.
