Amir Khan believes that he is the only British fighter with the ability to challenge Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The American claimed earlier this week that he would be open to fighting in the UK and Khan hinted that he would welcome the prospect of a bout.
However, the 26-year-old believes that Mayweather, who faces Robert Guerrero tonight, would find it difficult to leave the comfort of Las Vegas.
"I'm one of those guys that will fight anywhere, but if it would be a great fight for the UK fans," Khan told The Telegraph.
"Mayweather would show his class if he fought over here. I'd have a lot more respect for him if he does that. But he's such a big seller in Vegas and he brings in so much revenue that it will probably be very difficult for him to do that.
"I don't think there's any fighter other than myself that Mayweather's looking at, because Kell Brook's not a name – he would be a big step down for Mayweather.
Ability-wise I think there's no other fighter in the UK who could share the same ring."
Khan climbed off the canvas to defeat Julio Diaz last week.
