Wladimir Klitschko has tipped Anthony Joshua to bounce back from his world heavyweight title defeat to Oleksandr Usyk last weekend.

Despite being the bookmakers favourite, Joshua was outclassed by the former unified cruiserweight champion, going down by unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Although the manner of the defeat has left many questioning whether Joshua can gain revenge in a rematch, a second bout is expected to take place in February or March.

Klitschko, who endured his own setbacks during the early stages of his career, feels that the British fighter is capable of regaining his belts in the future.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the legendary Ukrainian said: "'We have seen AJ challenged. I remember my time. I lost two fights within 13 months in 2003 and 2004. To bounce back. To eventually become one of the longest reigning champions.

"AJ can still have his time, absolutely. It is all about how to overcome the challenge."

While promoter Eddie Hearn is keen for a rematch to take place in London, Usyk's camp will push for the fight being held in Kiev. body check tags ::
