Irish middleweight Andy Lee has revealed that he is confident that he can out-box Matt Korobov in their WBO title encounter in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Lee, who recorded one of the knockouts of the year against John Jackson in June, is the underdog to prevail against the unbeaten Russian, but the Limerick southpaw believes that he will be able take advantage of his opponent during the latter rounds.
The 31-year-old told Toe 2 Toe podcast: "He was a very good amateur and was probably considered the best in the world at the time, but since he has turned pro, he hasn't set the world alight.
"The more that I watch him, the more confident I get, and I see a lot of opportunities that he is going to give me to out-box him. If it does go into the late rounds, I believe I can hurt him.
"I think that my extra experience and extra power will be the deciding factors and pull me through the last few rounds."
The winner of this weekend's bout is scheduled to defend the WBO strap against Billy Joe Saunders in the spring.
