British middleweight Matthew Macklin has seen his fight with former IBF champion Daniel Geale shelved after the bill in Texas was cancelled due to an injury to heavyweight Mike Perez.
Macklin is attempting to move himself back up the world rankings after a crushing defeat to Gennady Golovkin last summer, and a victory over Geale would have put him back in contention for another world title shot.
However, a shoulder injury to Perez, whose encounter with Bryant Jennings was headlining the card, has seen the event postponed.
No announcement has been made on whether Macklin's encounter with Geale or Perez's showdown with Jennings will be rearranged for a later date.
