New WBC Silver super-lightweight champion Ohara Davies has blasted the "negative messages" that he received following his victory over Andrea Scarpa on Saturday night.
'Two Tanks' comfortably out-pointed his experienced Italian opponent to land the super-lightweight title and extend his professional record to 14-0.
Critics blasted the 24-year-old for failing to move through the gears against Scarpa, but Davies, who was always in control on the night, has taken to Twitter to answer those that have questioned him.
Davies, who has been linked with a potential fight against Scotland's Josh Taylor, later tweeted "when it's all said and done, the aim is to hit and not get hit" in another apparent dig at his critics.
